| 42:1 | 神阿，我的魂切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水。 As the hart pants After the streams of water, So my soul pants For You, O God. |
| 42:2 | 我的魂渴想神，就是活神。我幾時才可以來朝見神呢？ My soul thirsts for God, For the living God. When will I come and appear Before God? |
| 42:3 | 我晝夜以眼淚當飲食；人終日對我說，你的神在那裏？ My tears have been my food Day and night, While they say to me all day long, Where is your God? |
| 42:4 | 我從前與眾人同往，用歡呼讚美的聲音，領他們到神的殿裏，大家守節；我追想這些事，就倒出裏麵的魂，極其悲傷。 These things I remember, And I pour out my soul within me: That I passed through with the throng; I led them to the house of God With the voice of a joyous shout and praise, The festal multitude. |
| 42:5 | 我的魂哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裏麵煩躁？應當仰望神；因祂的臉是我的救恩，我還要讚美祂。 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I will yet praise Him For the salvation of His countenance. |
| 42:6 | 我的神阿，我的魂在我裏麵憂悶；所以我從約但地，從黑門嶺，從米薩山，記念你。 O my God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I remember You From the land of the Jordan and the Hermons, From Mount Mizar. |
| 42:7 | 你的瀑布發聲，深淵就與深淵響應；你的波浪洪濤，都漫過我身。 Deep calls unto deep At the sound of Your water spouts; All Your waves and Your billows Pass over me. |
| 42:8 | 白晝耶和華必向我施慈愛；黑夜我要歌頌禱告那作我生命的神。 By day Jehovah commands His lovingkindness, And by night His song is with me, A prayer to the God of my life. |
| 42:9 | 我要對神我的磐石說，你為何忘記我？我為何因仇敵的欺壓，徘徊哀痛呢？ I say to God my rock, Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning Because of the oppression of the enemy? |
| 42:10 | 我的敵人辱罵我，好像打碎我的骨頭，他們終日對我說，你的神在那裏？ As with a shattering in my bones, My adversaries reproach me, While they say to me all day long, Where is your God? |
| 42:11 | 我的魂哪，你為何憂悶？為何在我裏麵煩躁？應當仰望神；因我還要讚美祂，祂是我臉上的救恩，是我的神。 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I will yet praise Him, The salvation of my countenance and my God. |
